A fresh and authentic approach to promoting Bunbury, using the words and stories of Bunbury locals will launch this week.
Bunbury Brighter and the associated campaigns work to identify and promote what is real, meaningful and different about Bunbury.
The initial campaign will focus on lifestyle, balance, community, arts and culture while further promoting some of Bunbury’s great events in 2021.
A second campaign planned for later in the year will focus on business, investment and the opportunities for Bunbury.
The campaign going live today, will feature a series of videos to be rolled out across the City’s social media channels, an Instagram re-brand, activation at major Bunbury events along with outdoor and billboard signage across the City.
It will also see the launch of the Bunbury Brighter website, which will be expanded with future campaigns and content including video, local events, blogs and editorial pieces.
This is an exciting and all-inclusive campaign made possible by inspiring local ambassadors who volunteered their time to share what makes Bunbury great to them and why they choose to live and lead brighter, balanced lives here in Bunbury.
Through these ambassadors, the campaigns aim to promote Bunbury’s liveability and empower other locals to champion Bunbury for future growth.
Bunbury Brighter comes to life following a successful collaboration between City staff and leading creative agency Marketforce as part of the City’s Communication and Engagement Strategy.
The City’s Public Relations Team will be at the launch of Bunbury Fringe – which is one of the events to feature in the campaign – to introduce Bunbury Brighter to the community.
Comments from Bunbury Brighter Project Lead Brody Russell
This isn’t just about a one-off campaign, it is about establishing a consistent identity for Bunbury and starting to shake some of those perceptions.
"What came through strongly throughout the process was that Bunbury provides a perfect balance for those that live and work here and that’s really what we want to show and bring to life."
"Bunbury does have so many things going for it and we need our own community to believe in its potential and keep advocating for Bunbury."
"If we get that right first, then we can really start to position Bunbury for a brighter future and help the City grow and realise that potential."
